Week of November 7th to November 11th

Boy have the last two weeks been busy!  We had an amazing Red Ribbon Week.  One highlight was listening to the son of Enrique S. Camarena remember his father.  It was an emotional assembly and we felt all students left with a greater appreciation for our namesake. Last week was also a little crazy with Halloween on Monday.  We had a blast in our costumes and hope the students did as well.  Our Dual Immersion students were also busy with their Dia De Los Muertos festivities last week.

We are gearing up for another busy week. Here are a few highlights:

  • VAPA classes on Monday
  • BizTown lessons continue to prepare for our field trip
  • Colonial Trade Expert groups are being formed so students can become an expert on a colonial trade
  • No school on Friday to honor Veteran’s Day

Thanks again for all your support at home! We hope students go home daily to share all the exciting things that are happening in 5th grade!
